The Difference That Makes The Difference |

|
The Self Assessment is the agency’s method of evaluating how the agency is progressing towards meeting the goals and objectives of the agency as identified in the funder requirements and Agency Strategic Plan. A few critical MUSTs of any Self Assessment are:
· MUST have local community, client, staff, management, governing body, and board involvement. · MUST show progress in meeting program goals and objectives such as improving school readiness, including school readiness for homeless and disadvantaged children. · MUST identify areas of strength and weakness (program, teachers, management, environment, clients and partners). · MUST be used to develop a detailed improvement plan. · MUST incorporate a detailed Ongoing Monitoring system that identifies what progress has been made over time. · MUST be used as the basis for the agency’s Technical Assistance and Training Plan. · MUST incorporate Federal, State, funding source (First 5, etc.) evaluations.

NTLC™ Time and Cost Saving Federal, State, Licensing and/or Agency Self Assessment (SA) Summary |
|
NTLC™ assists your agency in performing their Self Assessment using the Federal and State evaluation tools, makes agency specific recommendations, and assists the agency in implementing the recommendations to ensure compliance and meeting the agencies funder requirements and agency strategic plan.
The sample chart above depicts a self assessment (red line) as compared to a state review (blue line). The chart shows where changes have occurred (both positive and negative) - part of the Ongoing Monitoring process. Up to four assessments can be shown on each chart with the time frame specified by the agency to depict progress over time.
A detailed evaluation of the self assessment and review data yields the specifics as to where and why changes have occurred which provides a basis for the development and implementation of a specific improvement plan. |
